It is one of the oldest branch of engineering.
It has application in most of the fields like manufacturing plants, robots, air crafts, medical Devices,vehicles etc.

It requires a core understanding of concepts like mechanics, electricity, kinematics, robotics,fluid mechanics, thermodynamics etc.
First and foremost you must be intrested in mechanical and machinery components.
You must be good at maths, physics and chemistry.
You should have logical reasoning and problem solving attitude.
There will always be a demand of skilled mechanical engineers in future.
But there is a tough competition as most of the students want to go for this branch.
